Apr 27 09: Huh. Well, look at that.

It appears I am now a Published Author Person. My short story “Daisy” is now online as part of the CC-licensed anthology Thoughtcrime Experiments. My first sale!

In other news, would the person who left the dial cranked way up to “August” please look after that? Because dude, seriously, 90 degrees? It’s not even May yet.

Commentary

“… But Daisy was our first.”

and your first!
Congratulations - this was utterly charming, Andy! I *loved* it.

P.S.
“…would the person who left the dial cranked way up to “August” please look after that?” :

maybe the pixies had something to do with it?

So glad you enjoyed the story.

As to the weather and the pixies, I suspect that the common Manhattan water pixie is not big on hot weather. I didn’t mention it in the story, but a sufficient quantity of fire is also a way to get rid of the damn things. Although one risks getting rid of the entire apartment in the process.
