Oct 16 04: uh-oh.
My ending to the robot story just went kablooie, I think. Or at least I’m going to need some reassurance from those who have read the existing drafts.
I mean, sure, there’s the massive property damage, but still: you save the people of your fair city—heck, the Earth—from the Giant Acidic Space Blob, and you get grounded for it?
How not-fair is that?
Commentary
Life is like that. You save the world and some misunderstanding git who happens to be in a position of greater power thwarts you for it. This is the essence of adolescences.
How does this botch your ending?

You are a source of great joy to me, y’know that?
I was worried that the injustice of it all retroactively de-funnied the story. Apparently, I was overreacting.
Come home soon.
